Your music, your levels
Make a level from any song you own. ADD LEVELS now opens a page in your browser that listens to the song and builds a level from it.
Maps from other rhythm games that use mods only to place notes now import. The import page says plainly which files it takes, and a level that cannot be used tells you why.
Your own levels count toward Warm-Up, Face Off and Workout, and toward Mighty Five and On Repeat when the song runs longer than a minute. S ranks and leaderboards stay with the built-in songs.
CUSTOM LEVELS now comes first in the song list.
Easier menus
Hold an arrow key, the d-pad or a stick to keep scrolling, or hold your hand out to the side.
Menu gestures respond more reliably, and the phone no longer presses cards by itself right after it connects. The setting is now called MENU GESTURES and sits in SYSTEM.
Escape on the main menu asks whether you want to quit.
New settings
SHOW CAMERA EDGES marks on the track where the camera's view ends, so you know before you step out of it.
IN-GAME PREVIEW sets the corner view to Off, Normal or Large, and with SHOW HUD off nothing is drawn over the game, for streaming.
REDUCED FLASH in GRAPHICS steadies the lasers and the floor and softens hit effects.
LIGHT FRAME puts a light border around the screen, so the TV lights you up for the camera in a dark room.
Your first song names each move as it comes: slash blocks, catch rings, kick balls, stomp, slide and dodge.
On Steam
Steam Game Recording marks every song you play with its difficulty, rank and score, so a run is easy to find and clip later.
Fixes
A hit ball no longer bounces back at you off the tunnel wall.
Phone tracking recovers by itself when the system drops the connection.
The game opens behind a loading screen instead of a stalled first menu.
Confirming with a gamepad keeps working after the menu has been steered by movement.
