SteamDB Cookie Policy
SteamDB is operated by Meshwood Gaming Ltd, trading as SteamDB.
This Cookie Policy explains how SteamDB uses cookies and similar browser storage when you use steamdb.info. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small pieces of information stored by your browser when you visit a website. Similar browser-storage technologies can perform related functions.
SteamDB uses a limited amount of browser storage to:
- keep you signed in;
- remember settings you choose;
- protect SteamDB against abuse, bots and malicious traffic; and
- operate the website securely and reliably.
SteamDB does not currently use advertising or analytics cookies.
2. Cookies currently used by SteamDB
The server-side SteamDB login session is retained for up to 90 days.
3. Strictly necessary cookies
Some cookies are necessary for SteamDB to operate securely or to provide functionality you request. These include storage used for authentication, maintaining a logged-in session, security, fraud or abuse prevention, and protection against automated or malicious traffic.
Where these cookies are necessary to provide the service or maintain its security, SteamDB uses them without asking for consent. Blocking them may prevent parts of SteamDB from working correctly.
4. Preference cookies
SteamDB uses limited browser storage to remember choices you make, such as your selected currency. These cookies are not used for advertising, profiling or cross-site tracking.
5. Third-party security services
SteamDB uses Cloudflare to provide security, caching and abuse-prevention services. Cloudflare may set temporary security cookies when required to distinguish legitimate traffic from automated or malicious traffic.
Other service providers described in the SteamDB Privacy Policy do not necessarily place cookies or similar storage in your browser merely because SteamDB uses their services.
6. Managing cookies
You can use your browser settings to view, delete or block cookies.
Blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect SteamDB functionality, including your ability to sign in. Blocking the currency-preference cookie may mean that SteamDB cannot remember your selected currency between visits.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when the cookies or similar browser storage actually used by SteamDB change. The date at the top of this policy shows when it was last updated.
