OKAY GUYS... CAN YOU SAY DOUBLE UPDATE DAY?!
INSANE.
It all started because we discovered that one Steam Achievement was broken.
Normally, we'd probably push out a quick hotfix, fix the achievement, and call it a day.
But that's not really our style. 😂
We figured:
“Well... if we're already fixing this, we might as well add some of the stuff we've been working on behind the scenes.”
And then somehow...
THAT TURNED INTO THIS.
So without further ado, here are the juicy details of the Double Update Day!
🏆 ACHIEVEMENT FIXES
We fixed the one broken achievement that was preventing players from properly unlocking it.
But we didn't stop there.
🏆 NEW ACHIEVEMENT VERIFICATION BUTTON
We've added a new button to the Achievement menu that allows you to verify your achievements.
If you unlocked an achievement in-game but, for whatever reason, Steam didn't register it properly, you can now use this feature to check your unlocked achievements.
If the game recognizes that you've already earned one, the verification system will force the achievement to trigger on Steam.
So if Steam decided to be Steam...
We've got you covered. 😂
🎲 RNG ITEM DROPS FIXED!
We found an embarrassing little issue with our equipment drop system.
Previously, equipment drops were being pulled from a predetermined list instead of being properly randomized.
...
LOL. My fault. 😂
That's now fixed.
Equipment drops are now properly randomized, giving the RNG system the unpredictability it was supposed to have from the beginning.
May the RNG gods be with you.
👻 THE MYSTERY BOSS RUSH ENEMY
We also removed one Work-in-Progress enemy that accidentally made its way into the Boss Rush stage.
That enemy wasn't supposed to be there yet.
Another one of those:
“Oops. My fault. LMAO.”

To everyone who managed to encounter it, fight it, and see it before we removed it...
Congratulations. You witnessed forbidden content.
Don't worry, though!
This enemy isn't gone forever.
We're planning to bring it back as part of its own dedicated stage once it's actually ready.

THE SPOOKTOBERFEST CONTINUES! 🎃
Five brand-new Cursed Equipment pieces have joined the game.
These items introduce a new type of build strategy:
POWERFUL BONUSES... WITH A PRICE.
Cursed equipment gives you powerful bonuses in exchange for penalties, giving you another way to experiment with your builds and push your characters toward even more ridiculous combinations.

Soulsnare Signet
Cowl of the Crimson Pact
Ring of the Unseeing Eye

🏪 HUGE NEW FEATURE THE SHOP
We've added something players have been asking for:
A SHOP!
Previously, if you wanted new equipment, you had to rely heavily on RNG drops.
Now you have another option.
Instead of staring at your giant pile of gold and praying that the RNG gods bless you...
YOU CAN JUST BUY THE GEAR.
The new Shop features:

💰 Discounted equipment
🔃 Manual restocking
📊 Equipment stat previews
🛒 Direct equipment purchases
You can also inspect the stats of equipment before purchasing it, so you can decide whether that piece of gear is actually worth spending your precious gold on.

You can absolutely call this another gold sink.

It's a useful gold sink!
Instead of simply having gold pile up, you can now use it to actively progress your collection and experiment with new builds.

The goal of Chibi Legends has always been:
Mix. Match. Experiment. Become OP. Die. Try Again.
The new Shop gives you another way to experiment.
Want to continue farming equipment through traditional RNG drops?
You can.
Want to spend your hard-earned gold and directly purchase some juicy new equipment?
You can do that too.
The goal isn't to replace the existing progression system.
It's to give you more ways to progress.
⭐ BRAND-NEW FEATURE MASTERY LEVELS
And now for another BIG ONE.
We've added:
MASTERY LEVELS!
Previously, you could spend gold to level up your heroes.
Now there's another way to progress them:
PLAY THEM.
Using your characters will now earn them Mastery XP, allowing you to increase their individual Mastery Levels.
As your Mastery Level increases, your character can gain additional stat bonuses.
But that's not all...
✨ HIGHER MASTERY LEVELS ALSO MAKE YOUR CHARACTER GLOW!
Because if you're going to grind...
You might as well look cool doing it. 😂
Mastery Levels give you another long-term progression system to work toward while rewarding you for actually playing your favorite characters.
And for those of you who like collecting and maxing everything...
Well...
Now you have another shiny thing to grind on ALL of your heroes.

💾 SAVE SYSTEM BUG FIXED
We also squashed a particularly nasty save bug.
Previously, if the game crashed under certain circumstances, there was a possibility that your save data could become corrupted.
NOPE.
Absolutely not.
We don't want that happening.
We've fixed the issue responsible for the corruption and made improvements to the save system to help prevent this problem.
One less disgusting little bug crawling around in Chibi Legends.

🏆 8 BRAND-NEW ACHIEVEMENTS
And since we just added an entirely new Mastery system...
We obviously needed more things for you to grind toward.
8 NEW ACHIEVEMENTS HAVE BEEN ADDED!
That's 8 more achievements to unlock as you progress through the new Mastery system and continue your Chibi Legends journey.
Because what good is a new progression system if we don't give you something to flex afterward?
⚠️ KNOWN ISSUE EQUIPMENT DISPLAY BUG
We are still hunting down that pesky equipment display bug we mentioned in our previous patch notes.
For those who missed it:
Sometimes, when you obtain your first piece of equipment for a particular equipment slot, it may not immediately appear on your character.
This can make it look like the equipment wasn't obtained.
DON'T PANIC YOU DO NOT LOSE THE ITEM.
The equipment is still saved.
For now, simply restart the game and the equipment should appear correctly.
We're still investigating exactly what's causing this strange bug and we're hoping to squish it as soon as possible.
Because if it's annoying us...
We're pretty sure it's annoying you guys too. 😂
So please continue reporting anything strange you encounter with equipment.
The more information we have, the easier it is for us to track down the little bastard.
