A better place to build your next loadout

Gunmetal Orbit v1.76 brings together the Outfitter overhaul, new equipment portraits, clearer progression markers, and the enemy rendering improvements. The dark industrial look stays, with a shop that makes its information much easier to read.

The armory and equipment cards

  • A detailed orbital service bay with layered steel display stations, warm work lights, a quieter window vista, and slow mechanical projector rotors.
  • Selected projectors get the strongest light, idle displays stay subdued, and purchased displays power down. Cards stay aligned with their pedestals through purchases and rerolls.
  • All 28 weapon families have new, large industrial portraits. Overcharge Coils, Claim Beacon, and Gel Lining also get new artwork, while combat retains compact icons.
  • Type, tier, rarity, name, effects, and price have their own space. Longer rules and names wrap instead of being cut off.
  • Overlapping LOCKED text is replaced by a dedicated RESERVED strip and a Kept on reroll reminder. A reserved offer switches the action hint to RELEASE.

Tiers and rarity, at a glance

  • Weapon Tier I is ivory, II cyan, III gold, and IV rose. One to four chevrons, a Roman numeral, and matching edges make the level easy to identify.
  • Common, Refined, Prototype, and Relic items have distinct jewel shapes. A weapon's original rarity is labelled BASE, separately from its upgrade tier.
  • The same markers follow equipped weapons, owned items, level-up rewards, build summaries, station bays, Uplink upgrade choices, overclock choices, and graded ore rewards. Boss artifacts keep amethyst and gain a separate crown.

Useful numbers and cleaner feedback

  • Beams show DPS, deployed mines show interval and blast size, and orbiting weapons show blade count and orbit distance. Multi-projectile weapons state their shot count, and fractional damage remains visible.
  • Contraband retains its warning color and its actual rarity, with boosted effects and the half-full cargo curse shown in full. Short stat caps sit next to their stat rows.
  • Dash, tether, and ultimate share one clockwise cooldown reveal and a synchronized perimeter accent. Duplicate bars and competing sweeps are gone.
  • A fully charged ultimate still shows an active timed lockout until it is ready.
  • Weapon details leave the offer hand visible, merge notifications stay inside the screen and clear of the build slate, and prompts fit beside launch.

Performance without losing the surface detail

Enemy textures now use less graphics memory while retaining their resolution, mipmaps, geometry, and authored surface detail. Neutral enemy poses skip unnecessary processing while moving poses, recoil, and scale keep their existing behavior.

The measured HIGH-preset PC texture fixture reclaimed about 1.03 GiB. That is a scoped memory result, not a promise of a fixed FPS or battery-life gain on every machine.

This update builds on the station Uplink already shipped in v1.75. Your four bays still charge from banked ore and fire at your fight; v1.76 makes their upgrade levels easier to read.
