Hello everyone, the new update is out. Here are the changes:
Organizations
General Changes
Non-alliance organizations no longer call all their members into wars.
Economic Unions now allow you to build on allies' territories, and export/import resources from them for free
Military alliances now allow you to recruit units in allied territory
Germany can build buildings in any EU member state.
Hegemony
New type of organization which allows you to puppet people within it. Hegemonies confer the benefits of military alliances and economic unions, with the added bonus that your new "allies" can't leave, and have to pay you some tributes.
AI won't join hegemonies voluntarily, so the only way to get people in them is to force them to join through war, or release a country.
Anyone besides China inside this organization is effectively a puppet state.
Colonial Nations
You can now release your space colonies as colonial nations, but you don't have to, however like any released nation they automatically join all your organizations, so that will allow you to still gain many of the benefits of a colony.

Generation Ships
Everyone is here!
Generation ships are a new mechanic you can use to go interstellar early. You can take 100,000 of your population on a journey across the stars! It is a very cool way to play the game, but beware- the AI will also send their own expeditions, so you will have to fight for control of the world you wish to claim!
Generation ships are expensive, and take 50 years to reach the target. I am aware that real-life generation ships may take centuries to get to another star system but no one wants to wait an hour to play the game.
You can also send generation ships within the Solar System if you don't have colonial range. Once the ship arrives, it will create a new nation. You can either watch your new colony grow (or get eaten), or you can take the helm yourself.
Video Rendering Mechanic
Some of you may have seen this video of mine. I have been working on a tool to convert your save files into these little animated video things, and I am beginning the first public test of this idea. The video renderer is available here:

This is what the window looks like. Beware that it will produce a windows defender suspicion since it can write files, but it is basically just a frontend gui that executes python files via a command line. You can see the code it runs in the python files packaged with it if you are worried. In order to remove this you have to pay microsoft money for a signed exe or maybe there is another way I haven't found. If you don't want to worry about it you don't need it to play the game it is just if you want to make your own timelapses of your past games. It will render it to .mp4 and you can do whatever with it.
Here is an example of its output. Report bugs on the discord
O'Neill Cylinder

The O'Neill Cylinder turns a space stations into a hub for your population. Unlike most wonders, many of them can be built for maximum space habitation.
Soundtrack
You can now put .wav or .mp3 files in the Soundtrack folder and they will be playable in the game. You can also adjust your preferences for which songs you would like to hear. You can also put these files in workshop items and distribute them.

You can find this menu in the settings or near the topbar in game.
