- Passing was too hard. Completion percentage sat around 58 target is 61.
- Sacks were too common, about one in fifteen dropbacks. Now one in eighteen, which is where college football is.
- Turnovers came down to about 1.4 a game per team, inside the real range.
- A completed pass now pays the yardage of the route that was actually thrown, not the depth the play was called at. That was a long standing bug and it moved the passing numbers more than any one change.
- Offenses run less in the red zone than they should have. Fixed.
- Points per game land right around 27 with everything above in place. Quarterback rushes are still a little high against real numbers.
What Talent and Fit are. Every player card now reads Talent, Fit, and Potential. Talent is how good he is at his position against every player in the country, 1 to 99, a 50 being a middle of the league man wherever he plays. Fit is a letter, A to D, for how well his game suits your playbook. A speed end on a team that calls power ends all day reads a C. Neither one touches the sim. They tell you what you're looking at; the field decides the rest.
When your quarterback kills a called run into a loaded box and throws instead, the play by play now says so. "Called: Inside Zone, checked to a pass, eight in the box." The film shows it too. It was always happening. Now you can see it. Line of Scrimmage Freedom is the dial that controls how much he's allowed to do it.
The Workshop
- Crests. You pick the frame, the lettering and the pattern. What you see in the editor is the crest your world draws, every time. The reroll buttons are gone because they lied.
- Eight new frames and six patterns to pick from.
- Every field in a custom world export is now editable in the game. City, the division card, the conference row, logo upload in both editors. The world you build in the editor and the world you get from an export play the same.
- The dots view is in. Settings, under Pre-Snap Play Art, Player Look: Sprites or Dots. In the dots look every man is a circle in his jersey color with his number inside it.
- Retiring a coach after fourteen or more seasons at one school was failing silently. The stadium is named after him now, like it was supposed to be.
Coming next
The coaching update. Every coaching control in the game gets reorganized once, for good, into five places that read in one order, with a switch at each so you can let your staff run it or run it yourself. Then player dials, then coordinators who are a plan you hire instead of a number.
