A new major update for Lured In is out now! This is one of our biggest updates yet, with tons of new features and improvements!
What's New
Bait
As we continue to add more and more fish, it becomes tricky to catch the ones you actually want. This is where bait comes into play! Now you can equip a type of bait, and target a specific fish. For example, Koi like worms. With those equipped, you're way more likely to catch Koi instead of Orandas (which like crickets). This system does NOT increase the rarity of fish, but acts like a filter.
Alongside bait also comes some improvements to fishing, including some new visuals, an equipment bar on the right, and the ability to jig (with right click or B on controller).
Breeding Tank
Sometimes its pretty annoying to have to travel to a place, just to catch one weird specific early-game fish. Now, you no longer need to with the breeding tank! This lets you place two fish inside, and for a research fee, breed them together and get another fish! The speed of this tank can also be upgraded.
Custom Rooms
It has always been a bit difficult to truly customize your shop, since every room looked the same. This is no longer the case! Now you can click on the palette icons, and customize each room to your liking. You can swap out the walls and floors with new materials and colors. Want a rock themed room? Now you can! I'll continue to expand out this system in the future with even more custom settings.
Better Inventory
Once again, as we get more fish, older systems become annoying. The inventory was definitely one of those. With Reel Business, now you can search for specific fish, alongside minimizing their stats panel to clean up your list a bit more. You can lock them too, just so you don't accidentally sell your super valuable fish.
New Unlocks
We always get new ascensions, upgrades, and research with every update, but this one has loads! You can unlock fish transportation, to retain some of your fish on ascension. You're also no longer limited to one active lure with Multi-Lure. It was sad how your researchers couldn't throw away all their belongings like customers dropping donations, so now you can buy Breakthroughs to collect research bonuses.
Tired of coming all the way home just to drop off your fish? Now you can get the Fish Retrieval research, which lets you send them all back from your keepnet for half the travel cost!
Thanks for reading, and feel free to report any issues on the forums, or over on the Discord. Thanks!
