Thanks for all the feedback since the Turbo Deluxe Edition launched. I read every post, and here is what the last two days of work turned it into.
New
Controller support (work in progress) Menus, the inventory, the shop and overworld travel can be played with a controller. Card play in fights still needs a mouse or touch; full controller play is coming later.
Steam Cloud saves Characters now sync between your machines, including Steam Deck. Existing saves carry over automatically.
Native Linux and SteamOS The Linux executable name is fixed, so the game launches natively on Linux and Steam Deck and Proton is no longer needed.
Steam Deck keyboard The on-screen keyboard opens for the character name and feedback fields.
Pause on Steam overlay Opening the Steam overlay during a fight pauses the game.
8 character slots Up from 3, so you can keep one of every class.
Fullscreen option A new checkbox in the settings menu.
Enemy attack countdown A glowing card now shows the seconds left until the attack lands.
See any place on the map Hover over any city, fort or monastery to see its level and difficulty, even if you can't travel there yet.
Liberated places stand out Places you have won keep their color when they are out of reach, and a place the enemy has retaken shows bright red.
Find what is left in a nation On the Progress tab of the inventory, select a nation's emblem to fly to it and flash the places still to liberate.
11 new tips of the day Covering monasteries, leveling up, card collecting, moving stacks and the new map features.
Improved
Victory screen The first click finishes the results, the next shows any level-up or reward messages, and only then does a click leave. Nothing gets skipped by accident.
Faster finish Cards fly to the goal cells more quickly at the end of a fight.
Cheaper consumables Potions, scrolls and the Tent cost half as much.
Overworld spells from the Spells tab Recall, Teleport and Water Breathing cast with a single click while the inventory is open.
Spells check their target If the board changes during a cast and the target is no longer valid, the spell fizzles and refunds its mana.
Clearer board Stack, goal cell and free cell outlines are easier to see, and tall stacks stay clear of the action bar.
Buttons respond Buttons across the game now tint on hover and press.
Language menu The language list has a scrollbar and scrolls at a sensible speed.
Translations German has been rewritten, and Russian and Japanese have had a thorough pass.
Music volume It stays at your setting after resting at an inn.
Pause button The Pause button in fights works again.
Feedback form You can back out while it is sending, and it gives up sooner when the service is unreachable.
Stability Smoother victory replays after board-shuffling spells, steadier spell targeting, and cards no longer stick to the cursor after very fast clicks.
Thanks for playing FreeCell Quest.
