This update covers the changes from 2.4.2.0 to 2.4.2.9.
New
- Hold or Toggle to aim: Choose your preferred ADS mode in the firing range’s Aim/Camera settings.
- Left/Right Mono audio: Horizontal movement selects the left or right audio channel, while vertical speed controls pitch, providing distinct directional cues during recoil practice.
Improvements
- Improved profile animation and audio preparation speed. Free Range can now open while optional guidance media continues loading.
- Profile saving, exporting, and Wizard imports now prepare media in the background for a more responsive workflow.
- Standardized controller trigger activation at 35% across binding capture and training.
- Expanded diagnostics for loading, profile preparation, and controller compatibility issues. Automatic report uploads continue to respect your diagnostic-sharing settings.
Fixes
- Fixed sensitivity changes being blocked in Training Projects or unexpectedly changing the selected shot range.
- Fixed applying FOV and scope sensitivity ratios during training, preserving the current training unit and progress.
- Fixed Restore Defaults affecting settings outside the editable scope of a Training Project.
- Fixed repeated preparation retries that could leave the Training page loading or override your Free Range selection.
- Fixed training-content preparation failures involving non-English folder paths, and improved recovery from unresponsive preparation tasks.
- Added clearer recovery guidance when a selected weapon profile cannot be loaded.
Content and compatibility
- Retired the legacy firing range. UE5 is now the supported firing range; the desktop app and Overlay remain available.
- Withdrawn Lucas Workshop profiles are backed up before removal from the local library and will no longer be reimported through Workshop sync. Independent editable copies and profiles from other authors are preserved.
