Hello everyone!

It's been a while since we posted an update! Since the beginning of summer. Given all the changes that have taken place this year, including the demo and the new features requested by the community, we've taken our time to make steady progress on the other events.

Since 8th Heaven is, at its core, a dating sim with a bit of simulation, we wanted to take advantage of that to create really polished events with beautiful staging. So we decided to do “game drops” for the date events, similar to Minecraft's update model (kinda...)

This update focuses on polishing the game, adding lots of events, and, most importantly, all of Finn's new events, which wrap up his personal story arc. We set the roadmap aside because it's too restrictive, and since we try to listen to what people suggest, it's hard to really stick to a specific plan. In addition, the entire team still works day jobs alongside our gamedev business, So we're doing our best to make effective progress. Nevertheless, the game is still scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2027, with the release of the game's final chapter! We've got lots of cool things planned to support the game after release, but for now we're going to focus on the events that are coming up in the game.

In the meantime, the next update is coming at the end of the year and will mark the end of Dimitri's story arc too! There are currently two events left for each character (except for Finn, because... well, that's what this update is about).

We tried to make the ending of Finn's story as faithful as possible given our resources. We hope you'll enjoy it!

• New Area - Cocobar interior! You can now go inside the Cocobar. It doesn't serve much purpose right now, but we have some fun plans for this place in the future...

• Reworked Sprites - All of the main characters' dialogue sprites have been redesigned (Dolores, Finn, Dolce, Dimitri). Mandragot has developed a modular system to make it easier to design poses and outfits in the future (hihi).

• Added new sounds and music tracks for events.

• Various adjustments to the level design.

• New modular overworld character system.

🐞 Bugs

• Cooking at the lighthouse is properly disabled during cutscenes.

• Dolce Scene 01 in the gallery is available again.

• New Finn Battle 01 and 02 have been correctly added to the gallery.

• Flash vfx returns in the climax in the gallery. Forget to do this one lol

🚨 Known issues

Due to our work and personal schedules, it’s possible that some issues and bugs reported by the community on Discord and the Steam forums haven’t been addressed yet. We'll be releasing a patch in a few weeks to address some polish issues and add small features & bug fixes we didn't have time to include. Especially problems in the gallery, some effects, collisions and posing stuff.
