Hiya, kittens! Great news! The Kotámon is taking part in the Steam Autumn Sale, so it'll be discounted all next week. By the way, the discount is even bigger than the launch one. Buuut there's more!
As promised, Kota and I made a SUPER-DUPER-ULTRA UPDATE for the game, based on your suggestions, wishes, and our laziness our abilities. Let's peek under the hood, shall we?
Fall comes to Jenny's dump!
To get those autumn vibes going, we went all out decorating the dump. Mote loves autumn, so you'll see a new color pallette, little pumpkins, lanterns—plus the smell of freshly fallen leaves. Okay, the smell is a bit of a stretch, but everything else is there!

Love summer green grass better? Don't fret! Autumn vibes will stick around for a week or two, then become an optional setting in a future update.
Auto-cleaning and auto-gluing!
Here's the thing: Many of you got bored of fiddling with the toothbrush and assembling cards from pieces in the same pattern over and over again. So we've added a microtransaction system to let you instantly get an ultimate-quality, crystal-clean card for mere $1.99!...

Just kidding. We're not EA. Sure, you'll have to pay to get a card automatically cleaned or glued together, but only with in-game currency. The gluing price depends on the card's rarity and quality, while the cleaning price is fixed and outrageously high—who knows, what rare pearl is hiding under all that grime? At least now you now have the option.

For those who enjoy piecing cards together—OUR FAVORITES!—we've added several more puzzle patterns for variety.
More cards. MORE SETS!
When we set up the fan-made card contest, we hoped for a couple of artworks at most—something to turn into promos and sprinkle into existing sets.
We've never been so wrong.jpg
Our mightily talented players have submitted a BIG-ASS DELUGE OF MIND-BLOWING CARDS—and they keep coming! Seriously, we've got so many ultra-cool arts that we've decided to add an entirely new Brawler set.

Plus, we've singled Kotalion out into a dedicated Limited set containing only the rarest, most unique, single-copy cards. And so Kotalion doesn't feel too lonely, we've paired it with a batch of new, jaw-dropping cards!
In total, this update includes 20+ new cards, including 7 limited ones.
We plan to add more cards in future updates—no clear schedule, just as soon as we get enough ready. So the contest is still going full steam! Send your cards to our Discord channel (and don't forget to read the rules).
Also, the most observant of you will notice the card album (and more!) got a revamp.
Bonuses, bonuses, and more BONUSES!
It's nice to find collectible figurines hidden away in secluded locations or trash piles—but it's even nicer to learn that they give substantial bonuses to your stats, plus store discounts. Yep, you read that right: now each figurine on your shelf isn't just an eye-pleasing trophy, it also makes you better!

And those players fond of hurling trash bags into the compactor from afar will get a money bonus based on distance, on top of the existing achievements! Keep in mind, though: to earn the bonus, you have to be at least 10 m away from the compactor, and your bag must be more than half-full.
Gallery of Trash
Lots of players liked our trash and the labels on cans and cartons almost as much as our collectible cards. We're mighty pleased you asked for a way to get a better look at the trash you gather. So the trash compactor now has a new function!

Walk up to the screen on its side to open the Gallery of Trash, where you can scroll through all the junk you've found and see how many pieces of each you've sent into the compactor (since the update). Each junk item has a short description.
Cosplays
Jenny continues to immerse herself in geek culture, turning from an ill-mannered village tomboy into an ill-mannered village cosplayer. You'll find three new outfits accompanied by spicy comic scenes.

By the way, always ask Jenny to try on her new outfits several times! She just pretends she doesn't enjoy them ;)
Disappearing things
One of the things players complained about most was that when new piles of trash spawned, valuable items—cards, tapes, figurines, etc.—lying on the ground would mysteriously disappear. We did a thorough investigation and caught all those trash-stealing gnomes. Now your hard-earned stuff will disappear much less often. And if you still see a nasty gremlin trying to steal something that's not his, just hurl a trash bag at him!
However, keep in mind that when the yard fills with new trash, Jenny's bulldozer may mix items still lying around into the new piles, so you'll have to hunt for them again!
Bugs & glitches
This announcement is already so long that I don't have the strength—let alone the will—to list the billions of bugs that were fixed. It's enough to say there were PLENTY of them… Hopefully now there are fewer, not more!
Future plans
In the near future, we want to add new achievements (you can start working toward them right away—they'll unlock once they are ready), more autumn trash, and missing localizations. Again, a HUGE thank-you shout-out to all the players helping with translation!
The 18+ DLC is more than half-finished, and we plan to focus on it full-time for now. Keep in mind it will first be available for our Patreon/Boosty sponsors!
Phew… That's the autumn update. Hopefully you'll like it. Many thanks for playing Kotámon and our other games. That's the best reward out there!
Yours,
Kota & Mota.
