Hello, Chieftains!
This update introduces new Swamp exploration content and expands resource processing, cooking, research, brewing, and village life.
We have also redesigned the quest system, rebalanced farming, livestock, gardens, beehives, and cooking, and improved crafting, character traits, camera controls, and performance when large numbers of cards are in play.
New Area: The Swamp
The new Swamp entrance is now available.
Villagers can explore this wet and muddy region to find Clay, Reeds, Hallucinogenic Frog Toxin, and other resources while encountering new enemies and treasure.
New Swamp content includes:
Frogman
Poison Frog
Poison Slime
Swamp Serpent
Clay
Reeds
Hallucinogenic Frog Toxin
Serpent Scales
Treasure Chests and other rare drops
New Resources and Production Chains
This update expands the production chains for copper, pottery, lime, and research.
New and expanded cards include:
Copper Vein
Copper Ore
Copper Ingot
Clay Pot
Clay
Limestone
Lime
Parchment
Flour
Magic Crystal
Gel
Wool
Wheat
Water
Copper Veins continuously produce Copper Ore. The ore can be smelted into Copper Ingots and used to construct research facilities.
Clay can be fired into Clay Pots for collecting water and preparing new food. Limestone can be processed in a Lime Kiln to produce Lime, which can then be used to make Parchment.
New Buildings
Research Table
The Research Table can be used to study fossils and other unusual items.
Combining a Fossil with a villager who has the Sage profession at a Research Table can produce a Mysterious Egg.
Lime Kiln
The Lime Kiln processes Limestone into Lime, providing a new production route for advanced materials such as Parchment.
Tavern
The Tavern gives villagers a place to drink and rest. Place a villager and Wheat inside to continuously produce Wheat Beer.
Canteen
The Canteen is a communal dining area for the village.
Villagers will prioritize food stored in the Canteen, making food reserves easier to manage and reducing the risk of villagers going hungry because supplies are scattered around the map.
New Food and Consumable Cards
New food and utility cards include:
Jam
Mushroom Soup
Wheat Beer
Decoy Skeleton
Slime Summoning Scroll
Jam and Mushroom Soup give Clay Pots more uses. Wheat can now be processed into Flour or brewed into Wheat Beer.
The Decoy Skeleton draws enemy attacks and provides a new way to control combat. The Slime Summoning Scroll summons Friendly Slimes to fight alongside your villagers.
New Creatures and Companions
New creature cards include:
Mysterious Egg
Baby Fire Dragon
Baby Ice Dragon
White Imp
Friendly Slime
Mysterious Eggs must be placed in an Animal Pen to hatch. They can produce different friendly creatures, each with its own attacks and special effects.
New Equipment
New equipment includes:
Sage Robe
Gel Whip
Slime Hat
Gel Heavy Shield
Hallucinogenic Blowpipe
Wolf Hood
Wool-Padded Armor
Serpent Scale Armor
Slave Garb
Slave Mask
These items provide new options for health, defense, attack speed, crowd control, and status-effect builds.

Adjusted crop-growing and livestock-production times to prevent a small number of animals from supplying excessive amounts of food.
Adjusted the functions and returns of Gardens and Beehives.
Improved the Beehive production process.
Cooking and Eating Improvements
Stoves now cook noticeably faster than Campfires.
Reviewed the value, food points, and other stat changes of cooked food.
Increased the speed at which villagers eat during the daily settlement.
Improved food-selection logic to reduce unreasonable proximity-based choices.
Characters and Traits
Characters obtained through the Life Tree now enter the character editor.
Improved the display and effects of character traits.
Added a new set of eyes, mouths, and facial features.
Combat and Balance Adjustments
Reduced the Spear’s stats.
Buff tooltips now display detailed effect descriptions.
Improved the Traveling Merchant’s item pool to reduce repeated low-value offers.
Added an “Inspiration” guarantee. After purchasing a set number of card packs, the player is guaranteed to receive Inspiration.
Quest System Overhaul
Redesigned the quest structure, unlock order, and progression.
Improved quest descriptions and progress displays.
Added quests for Swamp exploration, new production chains, buildings, creatures, and equipment.
Adjusted the triggers of several existing quests to match the current recipe and card-pack progression.
Camera and Control Improvements
Improved the smoothness of map movement.
Reduced the feeling that the map is assembled from separate regions.
Improved camera transitions between different areas.
The camera can now be moved while holding a card.
Fixed an issue where the daily settlement reset the camera zoom after the map expanded.
Performance Improvements
Improved performance when many cards are in play.
Reduced slowdown caused by tall card stacks.
Improved controls and responsiveness on large late-game maps.
Reduced lag when returning to the main menu with many cards in play.
Thank you to all Chieftains for your continued testing and feedback. We will continue improving production pacing, balance, and the late-game experience. If you encounter any issues after the update, please let us know in the Steam Community.
