Update: Hero Unlock Balancing, "Invincible Loner" Rework & AI Movement Polish
Greetings, fellow farmers! This latest update focuses on balancing hero unlock requirements to make more characters accessible, reworking the "Invincible Loner" perk mechanics, and improving hero pathfinding and targeting AI during battle.
1. Hero Unlock Adjustments
We have adjusted several unlock requirements to make building diverse team compositions smoother and more rewarding:- Orange: Single hit damage requirement reduced from 700 ➔ 300.
- Coconut: Armor (AR) requirement reduced from 300 ➔ 100.
- Watermelon: Requirement reduced from 80 AD & 1000 HP ➔ 40 AD & 500 HP.
- Strawberry: Total kills requirement reduced from 4,000 ➔ 2,000.
- Corn: In-match Armor (AR) requirement reduced from 500 ➔ 150.
2. Perk Rework: Invincible Loner
- New Activation Condition: Simply place the hero at least 2 hexes away from all allies during the preparation phase, and they will receive the full stat buffs and HP regeneration for the entire battle!
- In combat, even if allies move close or gang up on the same target, the hero keeps 100% of the buff and continuous HP regen until the wave ends.
- Removed erratic evasion movement so the hero moves and fights with normal, responsive pathfinding.
- Visual status indicator now updates in real-time while dragging and positioning heroes on the board.
3. AI Movement & Targeting Polish
- Eliminated Target Indecision: Increased target commitment so heroes steadfastly pursue their target instead of pacing back and forth between enemies in opposite directions.
- Avoid Fully Blocked Targets: Melee units now prioritize reachable targets with open attack positions rather than standing idle behind allies.
- Direct Approaches: Streamlined pathing to ensure units advance directly toward their targets without unnecessary backpedaling or detours.
4. Bug Fixes & Quality of Life
- Hydra Debuff Icons: Fixed an issue where Burn and Poison effects applied by Hydra did not display debuff icons under enemy health bars.
- Trait Panel Crash: Fixed a crash when opening and inspecting trait information.
- Monster Spawns: Mid-round monster reinforcements no longer overlap or spawn on occupied hexes.
- Map Normalization: Standardized arena layouts to eliminate awkward choke points and path traps.
