Bug Fixes
- Fixed a crash on startup, and when pressing Apply in the Mods window, caused
by mods whose gameoptions.txt leaves a blank line where a text settings
default value belongs.
- Fixed a crash on startup for anyone with extracted main.dat files in their
Defcon folder whose names differ only in capitalisation from the originals.
- A missing font file no longer closes the game, Defcon falls back to another
font instead.
- Fixed a crash when connecting to a game in rare cases.
- Fixed a crash caused by the unit placement window and sidepanel.
- Screenshots with HDR enabled using the DirectX11 renderer on Windows now correctly
captures the HDR output instead of the SDR output.
- Transitioning from fullscreen to windowed with a resolution change now grants
that resolution instead of giving you maximized windowed.
- The MacOS green zoom button that makes the game fullscreen now writes that to
preferences, previously this was out of sync and would not persist after a
game restart.
Graphics Changes
- Defcon now has a graceful fallback if your desired renderer fails, it will
try other available renderers and tell you if you had a failure and if it
succesfully recovered.
Modding Changes
- A mod whose gameoptions.txt does not match Defcons format is now refused, with a message naming the mod and listing exactly which settings are missing or unrecognised.
- A mod whose travel nodes leave part of the sea unreachable is refused the same way, and the message explains why.
- Both checks now run whenever mods are applied, including the mods restored when Defcon starts.
- A mod that is temporarily unavailable, on a drive that was not ready for instance, is no longer dropped from your saved mod list.
- Mods missing from disk are marked as not installed as soon as Defcon starts, rather than only after you open the Mods window.
